Yoga Teacher Training - this is a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 hour program
When: Begins Saturday and Sunday Sept 14th 2013 and continues for 7 more weekends. Saturdays & Sundays 10:30 am - 4:45 pm. 10:30 am is a practice of the standard series format in our group class. There will be a break for lunch from 12:00 to 1:15 pm and at 3 pm a break of 15 minutes during the sessions. You will also be able to practice mid day during the week at 3 pm as your schedule permits.
100 Hour Teacher Training In House Syllabus
30 Hours teaching Methodology 20 Hours Anatomy and Physiology 20 Hours Philosophy
30 hours practicum In House Teacher/assist observe.
Not all hours for a 200 hour course are completed in the studio. Some hours are completed through homework and book study. At the end of the training you will take a multiple choice final exam and if you pass you will receive your certificate of completion.
Trainees also enjoy unlimited Yoga classes included in their tuition for the length of the 8 week training plus 30 consecutive days after. Sign up early and save as rates are going up. Tuition Amount: $3000

To understand yoga in depth requires a great desire to help others and the desire to work on oneself. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate from Earth's Power Yoga. This is a 200 hour course please note that some hours are completed via book study, essay and community class practice.
Introduction to the Teacher Training course and Kindle Touch as well as Kindle books. There will also be an explanation and practice of the beginner set. We are using kindle because it is the best book platform for reading plus it has Audiobook capabilities that far surpass any other platforms I have seen.
The "Yoga Teacher Training and Alignment workshops" stand alone as Anatomy and Alignment workshops these are excellent for those who want to deepen their personal practice. You will have one year from the start of the first class to complete the training including essays.

The following is not required study but is highly recommended:
Take a trip South India for minimum of 2 months in duration to see the roots of this ancient practice. Visit Jamana Giri at Nandi Bull Chamundi Hill Shiva Cave Temple. Fly into Chennai via Singapore Airlines and take the 1st class Shitabdi Express train into Mysore. The famed Pattabhi Jois also lived and taught in this same town of Mysore. You can write to the Indian Consulate 540 Arguello Blvd. SF CA 94115 to request a six month tourist visa. Write in advance as the process can take up to four months. We also recommend that you travel this journey alone. The best time to travel to South India is November through January.
